Apple will invest €1 billion in a new silicon design center in Munich

Apple announced it's investing €1 billion in a new silicon design center after spending just as much on its new R&D center in Munich two years ago. In fact, the new facility is treated as an expansion of the existing one since it will be located just across the street. Inside Apple's current research facility Apple wants to bring 2,000 of its engineers in one place, so they can work more efficiently with state-of-the-art equipment.
